Smartford Creator

Meet our Creator

Hi, I'm Lara! As a Stanford-trained PhD scientist and a mom of two, I realized the biggest gap in the toy aisle wasn't fun—it was evidence. I created Smartford to turn learning science into screen-free games that kids genuinely love—and that parents can feel good about.

Each Smartford game is designed around active discovery: the kind of learning that happens when kids are curious, experimenting, and so engaged they forget they're "being taught." I focus on making every activity hands-on and purposeful—building real skills like problem-solving, emotional awareness, communication, and flexible thinking through play.
